Garlic German Red Hardneck
German Red is a beautifully colored hardneck garlic from the rocambole family of garlics, which tend to grow better in cold winter climates. German Red produces large flattened bulbes with 8-12 red cloves surrounded by a white wrapper. The intense aromas of this garlic are accompanied by a rich and mild taste. Scapes can be harvested and used for cooking before the garlic iteself is actually harvested. Medium term storage. Hardiness Zones 3-8. Bulb size 1.5-2".
