Takara is a shishito pepper that produces small, finger-sized fruit with a mild but rich flavor. One in every ten peppers may have a little heat due to hot and dry conditions. Serve these tasty peppers at your next garden party to see who gets the luck of the draw! Plant transplants when soil is warm. Plants require full sun and even moisture. Sow seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Harden off seedlings outdoors 1-2 weeks prior to transplanting. Plant carefully to avoid damaging the stems. Plant in 14” or larger container.
