All America Selections winner! Hansel’s slim, elongated miniature fruit are tender, smooth, and non-bitter. Harvest can begin about 55 days from transplant, when fruit are 2 to 3" long. The clusters of fruit can be harvested a few days later at 4 to 5" length without loss of fruit quality. The 18" plants yield good quantities of these glossy dark-purple fruit that can be paired with Gretel for an attractive market display.
