Yellow Buttercup is considered one of the best yellow fleshed watermelon varieties to grow. It produces nearly round shaped fruit that weigh 14-16 lbs. and it has a flavorful bright yellow flesh. The flesh is dense, crisp and high in sugars, which gives it a great eating quality. The rind is a medium green color with thin dark green stripes.
You will need to purchase a pollinator for use with the seedless varieties. We highly recommend that you use Side Kick or Accomplice for this purpose, as they flower early and continuously throughout the pollination period. You will need one pollinator for every three seedless you transplant.
